GILROY HS [apos]08: Earned All-Tri-County Athletic League honors for three years, including first-team accolades as a junior and senior... Two-time All-Central Coast Section honoree... Went 7-1 as a pitcher in 2007, helping team reach CCS semifinals... Also starred in soccer, earning league MVP and Defender of the Year awards as a senior... Three-time All-CCS honoree, including first-team distinction as a senior.

PERSONAL: Born in Gilroy, Calif.... Majoring in civil engineering... Parents are Joe & Kim Grove... Proudest personal accomplishment was winning a CCS title in soccer then playing in football section championship and baseball section semifinal in the same year... Hopes to visit all MLB ballparks with his father and grandfather.
