2008: Played in 32 games, starting three... Entered as a pinch runner 13 times, and as a pinch hitter seven times... Batted .261 (6-for-23) with 5 runs scored (4 as a pinch runner)... Had best game in Utah doubleheader (3/1), hitting 2-for-4 with an RBI.
CORONADO HS [apos]07: Selected to All-Western League second team as a senior... Won Under Armour Preseason All-America status to open 2007 season... Helped lead team to San Diego Section title in 2006... Earned team[apos]s Coaches[apos] Award as a sophomore, batting .341... Two-year All-Academic honoree by San Diego Union-Tribune.
PERSONAL: Born in Chula Vista, Calif.... Majoring in exercise biology... Parents are Daniel & Monica Cepin... Says few people don[apos]t know that he[apos]s half-Dominican and half-Spanish... Career plans, if he doesn[apos]t play professional baseball, are in sports medicine or finance/accounting.
