2008: ALL-BIG WEST CONFERENCE HONORABLE MENTION... Set school record with 30 appearances, all in relief... Posted a 6-2 record with 2 saves... Finished with 4.61 ERA and 46 strikeouts in 41.0 innings... Named Big West Conference Pitcher of the Week (5/5), giving UC Davis a sweep of the weekly honors... Credited with three straight relief wins vs. No. 3 Stanford (4/30) and No. 23 Long Beach State (5/3, 5/4) to earn the award... Fanned a season-best 8 batters in 4.1 innings against Utah (3/2), his longest outing of the season... Struck out 6 batters in only 3.1 innings at Nevada (3/12)... First collegiate win came at Sacramento State (4/1)... Won first four career decisions... Drafted by the New York Yankees in the 32nd round, but did not sign.

UCLA: Redshirted in 2006 then pitched in exhibition only (vs. St. Paul) in 2007.

MENLO SCHOOL [apos]05: Two-sport standout, excelling in both baseball and water polo... Posted 8-3 mark with 1.57 ERA and 139 strikeouts (in 80.1 innings) as a senior, earning San Mateo County Player of the Year honors... Voted among top 15 area players by San Francisco Chronicle... Went 12-0 with 0.72 ERA and school-record 146 strikeouts as a junior, claiming first-team Cal-Hi Sports All-State accloades... Also named Peninsula Athletic League Player of the Year in 2004... Team won Central Coast Section title that year... Set school records for strikeouts in a game (18), season (146) and career (433)... Finished with 29-7 career record... Earned prep All-America and first-team All-CCS honors in water polo, scoring 70 goals and 66 assists... Played summer ball for St. Cloud Riverbats of Northwoods League, helping team capture league title in 2005.
