UC Davis Athletics

2020: Appeared in five games during the season...Hit .200 over five at-bats, scoring two runs...Scored a run in the ninth to help UC Davis to a win over Pacific (Feb. 25)...Also scored in the ninth inning against Mount St. Mary's (Mar. 7).

2019: Appeared in 14 games, making five starts… Hit .238 on the year in 21 at-bats, with four runs scored and one RBI… Made his Division I debut as a pinch hitter on Feb. 17 against Northern Colorado, finishing 1-for-1 on the afternoon… Earned his first career start as the designated hitter at Pepperdine on Mar. 10… Finished the year 1-for-1 on the base paths… Tallied his first career multi-hit effort and RBI at UC Santa Barbara (Apr. 18) as part of a 2-for-3 night… Also recorded hits at UC Riverside (Mar. 31) and San Francisco (Apr. 22). 

CUESTA COLLEGE (2015-18): Athletic Honor Roll member (2018)… Named All-WSC first team selection… Western State Batting Crown recipient… Also named Athlete of the Week… Helped his team to a third-place Western State Conference finish… Averaged .452 at the plate with a .500 OBP and scored 23 runs.  

SCOTTS VALLEY HS ’15: Four-year Principal’s List member (2011-2015)… A dual-sport student-athlete for Scotts Valley HS, Smith competed for the baseball and basketball teams… Helped the baseball team to back-to-back Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League titles during his freshman year and sophomore seasons as an outfielder…  Averaged .416 at the plate and tallied 15 RBIs as a senior.. Named All-League first team honoree (2015)… Named Scotts Valley HS Offensive Player of the Year (2015). 

PERSONAL: Parents are Ken and Anne Smith… Has a younger brother, Kyle, and a younger sister, Caroline… Favorite hobbies include film editing, hiking, going to the beach, and movie nights as his … Lists Aaron Judge as his sports hero.
