DAVIS, Calif. -
Scheduled softball and baseball doubleheaders at UC Davis on Saturday have been postponed because of rain and have been rescheduled for 11 a.m. on Sunday.
Both Aggie teams were scheduled to host California Collegiate Athletic Association doubleheaders beginning at noon, however, rain throughout the night and early morning hours in Davis led to postponements until Sunday.
The softball team will now host Sonoma State at 11 a.m. on Sunday at LaRue Field, while the baseball team will host Cal Poly Pomona at 11 a.m. on Sunday at Dobbins Stadium.
The UC Davis softball team, 42-14 overall and 23-7 in the CCAA, has a one-game lead over Cal State Bakersfield and a two-game advantage over third-place Cal State Dominguez with two games remaining. The Roadrunners are scheduled to conclude the regular season on Saturday at UC San Diego while the Toros will play at Cal State San Bernardino.
The Aggie baseball team improved to 30-19 overall and 23-13 in the CCAA after beat Cal Poly Pomona, 6-4, in 12 innings on Friday.
Both UC Davis conclude the regular season with Sunday's doubleheaders.
