2021: Drove in a season-high two runs at UC San Diego (5/15)… Scored a run at CSU Bakersfield (4/10) and both games of a doubleheader at UC San Diego (5/15)… Recorded a hit in five games: vs. UC Riverside (4/3), at CSU Bakersfield (4/10), at Hawai’i (4/24) and against the Tritons in a Saturday twinbill… Hit a home run in each game of that doubleheader to become the first Aggie since April 22, 2019, to hit a pair over the fence in the same day…
LODI HS ’20: Played catcher and third base throughout his high school career… Not counting his COVID-shortened senior season, he played a key role in helping LHS’ baseball team win Tri-County Athletic League championships in two of his three full seasons played… His baseball team also won a Sac-Joaquin Section title when he was a sophomore… Earned second-team all-conference honors in 2017 by hitting .358, posting a .500 OBP, posting 19 hits, 18 RBI and 24 runs… Named Offensive Player of the Year as a junior by posting a slash line of .417/1.275/.645, driving in 21 runs and scoring another 20, in addition to finishing the year with six doubles.
PERSONAL: Youngest of Joann and Everardo’s two children… Competed for the Lodi Mavericks club team for eight years… Most people do not know he loves yoga… Earning a spot on the 2019 A’s Area Code team is his proudest personal accomplishment… Best athletes he faced in his career were other players at the Area Code game… Blair Field in Long Beach is his favorite facility that he played at… Winning Offensive Player of the Year and competing in the Area Codes game, in the same year, is his career sports highlight… Mike Trout is his sports hero… Favorite hobbies include learning about self defense, meditating and eating good food… Top three things on his bucket list are skydiving, learning how to surf and bear hunting… The sense of family, and academic programs the university offers, are the reasons he chose UC Davis… Takes pride in his academics, which played a crucial role in his decision-making process… Also appreciated how UC Davis Athletics are competitive and want to develop players from a physical and mental standpoint.
