2021: Led all Aggie pitchers with four wins, 62 strikeouts, 15 starts, 83.1 innings pitched and two runners picked off… Fanned a team-high nine batters vs. UC Riverside (4/2)… Pitched a season-high 8.0 innings against UC Riverside (4/2)… Posted a season-high nine strikeouts in that same game vs. the Highlanders.

2020: Made four starts as a member of the rotation... Went 2-2 with a career-low 3.81 ERA over 26 innings, leading the Aggies in innings pitched and striking out a career-high 21 with a career-low four walks... Picked up a win in his season debut, going six innings and striking out five while allowing three earned runs on seven hits against Utah (2/16)... Backed that up with a win on his next turn with seven innings, seven strike outs and two earned runs on three hits against North Dakota State (2/22)... Allowed season-low one earned run on five hits and struck out five over seven innings in final start of the season against Mount St. Mary's (3/7)... Held opponents to career-best .253 average. 

2019: Earned a spot in the Aggies’ weekend rotation, making 14 appearances, nine of those starts… Made his collegiate debut in relief against Northern Colorado on Feb. 17… Picked up his first career start in game two of a doubleheader against Utah Valley on Mar. 3, striking out a season-high four over 5.1 innings… Went a season-long eight and two-thirds innings at Hawai’i, allowing three runs on eight hits in the Aggies’ 6-3 victory over the Rainbow Warriors en route to his first career win (4/6)… Also tied a career-best four strikeouts against Utah Valley (3/3) and Long Beach State (4/27)… Threw 1.2 innings of scoreless, hitless relief against Nevada (2/19). 

MISSION VIEJO HS ’18: Three-time Scholar Athlete Award recipient (2015-2017)… Four-year letter winner for the Mission Viejo HS baseball team… Three-time recipient of his team’s Cy Young Most Outstanding Pitcher Award… Two-time South Coast League first team selection… Selected to play in the Lions Orange Country All-Star game and Ryan Lemmons South Coast League All-Star game as a senior (2018)… Capped his senior season with a 6-2 record and 1.85 ERA over 64.1 innings of work. 

PERSONAL: Born in Los Angeles… Parents are Jim and Lori Spillane… Has a younger brother, Luke… His father Jim competed as a student-athlete for UCLA… Lists pitching a perfect game in the National Classic Tournament in 2018 as his sports career highlight… Lists John Wooden as his sports hero.
