PERSONAL: Grew up in Moncalieri, Italy... Francesco is the oldest of three children... Has a younger brother and sister... Invited to the U18 National Team training camp... Proudest personal accomplishment took place when he was 15 and left his home country to pursue his education and athletics... He felt that move helped him mature and grow as a person... Career sports highlight took place when he helped JSerra win the Torrey Pines Holiday Classic during his senior year by scoring the game-winning basket at the buzzer (he finished with 18 points that day)... Forrest Gump is his favorite movie... Shaquille O'Neal is his sports hero... Superman is his non-sports hero... Would love to play basketball at the professional level, and enjoy the sport he loves while being paid to travel... Listening to music, hiking and hanging out with friends are his favorite hobbies... Scuba diving in Hawai'i, skydiving and hiking on a volcano are the top three things on his bucket list... Chose UC Davis because it was the best fit for him; he loved the coaching staff and how they believed in him.
