2019: Appeared on the mound in 11 games for UC Davis, making three starts… Wrapped up his junior campaign 0-1 with a 7.50 ERA, striking out nine over 15 innings of relief… Made his first career start at Sacramento State on Mar. 12… Struck out a season-best three in his 2019 debut at Arizona State (Feb. 23), providing the Aggies’ with an inning of scoreless, hitless relief… Tossed a career-long three innings in his second career start at Pacific (Apr. 9), holding the Tigers hitless and striking out one… Also turned in 0.2 innings of hitless relief against the Tigers on Apr. 2.
2018: Appeared in 11 games out of the bullpen for the Aggies… Finished his sophomore season 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA, striking out a career-high 12 and holding opponents to a .257 average over 18 innings… Allowed one hit and struck out a career-high four over two innings of relief in his first appearance of the season against Northern Colorado on March 17… Threw a season-long 2.2 innings of relief against Big West colleague CSUN (May 11), allowing just one hit and striking out a pair… Allowed a combined two hits in three innings of scoreless relief in appearances against Stanford (April 10) and an extra-inning, 9-7, win over San Francisco (April 24).
2017: Appeared in six games out of the bullpen for the Aggies... Finished the season allowing just one run (unearned) on five hits and striking out four over 4.1 innings of relief... Made his Division I debut on March 4 against nationally ranked Oregon State, allowing a hit and striking out one in one-third of an inning... Also struck out one in 1.1 innings of scoreless relief against Penn State on March 8, and struck out a career-high two in one inning of work against UConn on March 11... Allowed a combined four hits in 1.2 innings of scoreless relief in appearances against Long Beach State (April 30) and UC Riverside (May 14).
ROSEVILLE HS '16: Hit .358 and posted a 3.20 ERA on the mound as a shortstop and pitcher in his senior year en route to CVC all-league first team honors… Helped lead the Tigers to the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division II title in 2015.
PERSONAL: Parents are Ignacio and Veronica… Has a younger sister, Bianca… Gold Merit Award winner at Roseville HS, given to those who earned a 3.75 GPA or above in all four years of high school… Favorite movie is "Remember the Titans"… Most people don't know that he is an artist… Bucket list includes traveling to Bora Bora, visiting every Major League stadium, and to go scuba diving.
