2020 T&F: One of 10 Aggies to run 3,000 (9:09.37) at Cal Invite before season was halted due to COVID-19 pandemic.
2019 XC: Did not compete.
ROCKLIN HS ’19: Competed in both track and cross country for the Thunder… Two-time varsity team MVP in cross country... Lead Rocklin HS to a team section title in 2017, just the second in school history… Two-time varsity First Team All-League honoree… Earned First Team All-Section senior year… In track, picked up First Team All-League in the 3200m junior year… At the Frosh/Soph level, was a two-time All-Sierra Foothill League, and earned an All-Section cross country honor sophomore year.
PERSONAL: From Rocklin, Calif… Parents are Ben and Judy… Father Ben played football and basketball at Emporia State… Has a younger sister, Taylor… Most people don’t know he was not an athlete prior to high school, and put in 1600 hours of a single video game from 8th grade until right before sophomore year… Favorite movie is American Psycho… Sports hero is Lasse Virén, non-sports hero is great uncle Don Heronime… Wants to pursue wildlife conservation after UC Davis to save what animals he can… Running an ultramarathon, hiking Half Dome, and dying while running a marathon when he’s 90 are at the top of the bucket list… Chose UC Davis Athletics because he liked the people on the team, and believed in the coaches… Also liked the training routes on soft surfaces, and since UC Davis was the best academic option, it made his decision an easy one.
