2020-21: Will not use a year of eligibility, and maintain his current status, due to the NCAA’s COVID-19 policy… Ranked No. 324, among all Division I players, in blocked shots per game (0.78)… One of two Aggies who collected 10 or more rebounds in a single game, an accomplishment that took place at CSUN (2/6) when he finished with 10… Ranked No. 5 in offensive rebounds (1.90/gm.). No. 8 in total rebounds (5.90), No. 13 in blocked shots (0.80) and No.. 14 in defensive rebounds (4.00) against league opponents… Recorded seven rebounds and three assists vs. Hawai’i (3/5)... Scored six points, by hitting 3 of 5 shots, against the Rainbow Warriors in the team’s season finale (3/6)... 2019-20: Posted team-high rebound totals in six games... His 10-rebound effort vs. Cal State Fullerton (1/22) is a single-game team-high total... Collected a game-high five rebounds at UC Riverside (3/7)... Of his six points scored vs. Long Beach State (2/29), he hit the first of two free throws win one second remaining in regulation (intentionally missed the second free throw), to break a 76-76 tie and record the game-winning point... Hit a career-high eight shots at the free throw line at Cal Poly (2/20)... On 5 of 7 shooting, Koehler was one of six Aggies who scored in double figures by finishing with 10 at Cal State Fullerton (2/8)... Collected a career-high 10 rebounds, one-fourth of the Aggies’ total, that night against the Titans... Finished with a team-high four assists and three steals, both career highs, vs. UC Riverside (1/19)... Finished with 13 points, a field goal from three, six free throws made (in as many attempts), three assists and two steals, all career highs, vs. LMU (12/16)... PIMA COMMUNITY COLLEGE (2018-19): Led Pima CC to its third consecutive NJCAA Region I – Division II championship by scoring a game-high 22 points, combined with 13 rebounds, to earn his 19th double-double of the season... That double-double total increased to 22, thanks to his performances throughout the Aztecs' postseason run in the NJCAA Division II Tournament... By collecting another three double-doubles throughout PCC's three playoff games — he led all players with 35 points and 17 rebounds in the consolation championship — Koehler averaged 26 ppg and 14 rpg to earn All-Tournament team distinction... Averaged a double-double on 19 points and a team-high 10.7 rebounds per game, shot .513 from the floor, .412 from three and led the Aztecs to a 29-7 overall record in 2018-19.
UCSD (2017-18): Played in 16 games for the Tritons in his lone season at UC San Diego.
CORONADO HS '17: Averaged 22 points, 11 rebounds and five assists per game as a senior... Senior year honor roll includes league MVP, All-State and All-Sunset Division first team accolades... Also earned Super 7 in Vegas distinction, presented to the best players in Las Vegas... Averaged 18 points and 14 rebounds per game, which led to first team all-league and all-conference recognition... Coronado High School won league titles in each of his final three years with the program... First Team All-State Academic selection.
PERSONAL: Parents are Kim and Darin Koehler... Both parents graduated from UNLV... Most people do not know that working out is the best part of his day... Starting his own shoe business is his proudest personal accomplishment... Dennis Smith is the best athlete he competed against... Leading his high school team to its first state finals appearance is his career sports highlight... Non-sports heroes are his parents... The opportunity to represent a prestigious school, complete college as a UC graduate, his connections/relationships with the coaching staff and the program's potential to win and earn another March Madness appearance are the reasons he chose UC Davis.
