2020: Started all 28 games at short... Led Aggies with 25 RBI and finished second on team in OPS (1.120)... Hit 34-for-94 with 16 extra-base hits (8 doubles, 1 triple, 7 homers) for .362/.429/.691... Tied for team lead in homers, along with Alyse Rojas and Riley Siegel... Had two hits in seven of first eight games, among 12 total multi-hit games... Went 3-for-4 three times: vs. No. 18 Missouri (Feb. 21), at Sacramento State (Feb. 26) and vs. Pacific (Mar. 10)... All three hits in Mizzou upset were for extra bases: doubles in 4th and 5th, three-run homer in 6th... Launched walk-off homer in 3-2 win to open Capital Classic vs. UConn (Feb. 28).
2019: Appeared in all 53 games, making 52 starts... Finished third on the team with a .305 average, scoring 43 runs, slugging 11 extra-base hits, and driving in 17 runs... Walked 26 times... Ended the year tied for third on the team with 11 multi-hit games, including a season-high four hits as part of a 4-for-4 day against Weber State to go along with a walk... Also had a 3-for-4 day against Georgetown on Feb. 17... Drove in a season-high three runs against Miami (Ohio) on Feb. 16... Her 26 walks rank tied for fifth on the school's all-time single-season list... Her 43 runs scored ranks second on the school's single-season Division I list, breaking the previous mark of 35 held by Julie Stauder in 2008... Her three triples are tied for fourth on the single-season Division I list, while her 26 walks tied Stauder for the most in a Division I season... Ranked fourth in the Big West in runs scored, tied for second in triples, fourth in walks, and tied for fourth in stolen bases.
2018: Started all 47 games she appeared in at five different positions... Finished second on the team with a .317 average, scoring a team-best 22 runs, six doubles, a team-high four runs, and a team-high 21 RBI... Finished tied for third on the team with nine multi-hit games and second with five multi-RBI games... Collected hits in 11 consecutive games from Feb. 28 to March 16 -- the second-longest such streak in the program's Division I history... Also had a pair of six-game hitting streaks during the season... Her .401 on-base percentage ranks ninth, her .444 slugging percentage is ninth, and her four home runs were tied for 10th, in the program's Division I history... Finished with a season-high three hits -- including a grand slam -- as part of a 3-for-3 day against UTEP on Feb. 11... Also drove in three runs as part of a 2-for-3 day against Hawai'i on May 12, and added three games with two runs driven in... Reached base safely in the final five games of the regular season thanks to five hits and three walks.
2017: Named a starter in 19 of 22 games played... The utility freshman started seven games in the outfield, seven at third, four as the designated hitter, and one as catcher... Had multi-hit games against Hawai'i on April 1 and UC Riverside on April 22... Picked up her first career RBI against Hawai'i (4/01) as the starting designated hitter in a 2-for-4 day... Recorded a double at UC Santa Barbara (5/05) and a triple versus Cal Poly (4/30)... Hit .300 with the bases empty and .500 with a runner on third with less than two outs... Had a season game-high six assists against Cal Poly on April 29.
OLYMPIAN HS '16: Four-year letter winner... Named Defensive Player of the Year... Earned All-Metro Mesa League first team accolades twice... San Diego Union-Tribune named her to its All-Academic Team all four seasons... Finished with the following career stats: .469 AVG, .511 OBP, .780 SLG, 1.291 OPS, 11 HR... OHS won a CIF championship in 2015... Named to the Principal's Honor Roll in 2015 and '16... California Scholarship Federation participant... Played summer ball for SoCal Breakers for three years.
PERSONAL: The oldest of Evangeline and Roberto Leon-Torres' three children... Gabriella and Daniel are her younger siblings... He uncle, William Clark, played football at Virginia... Jenelle Ladridge, her cousin, played softball at Drexel... Most people don't know that she was born in Hawai'i... Graduating high school with honors is her proudest personal accomplishment... Roberto Clemente is her sports hero... Non-sports hero is her dad... Plans to become a veterinarian or physician's assistant after she graduates from UC Davis... Visiting Puerto Rico and the Phillipines are the top things on her bucket list... Named to five-member UC Davis Athletics’ Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Commettee in fall of 2020.
