2021 T&F: Competed in the 1500 three times (4:03.55 at Causeway Track Classic), 5,000 once (15:53.98 at Sac Tri-Team Challenge).
2020 XC: Season cancelled by COVID-19 pandemic.
2020 T&F: Raced in 3K (8:54.50) at Cal Opener before season was halted due to COVID-19... Made Big West Commissioner’s Honor Roll with honors (3.21-3.50 GPA) and Big West Spring Academic All-Conference team.
2019 T&F: Ran the 1500 in four meets, with best of 4:04.54 at Hornet Invite (3/16)... Also made one appearance in the open 3K (9:02.75 at Cal Opener).
2019 XC:Â Ran a 26:00.7 at the Dellinger Invite (9/28), his fastest time of the season... Narrowly missed that time when he posted a 26:06.0 at the Big West Championships (11/2)... Big West Fall Academic All-Conference honoree.
2018 XC: Raced in all six regular season meets… Broke into the scoring five once for the Aggies with a season-best time of 25:55.7 at the Bronco Invite 8K… Was the first UC Davis runner across the line at the Doc Adams 8K, placing 20th with a time of 26:33.9.
McCLATCHY HS ’18: Competed in cross country and track all four years… Cross country team won the Metropolitan League championships every year… Received All-League Honors sophomore through senior year, also voted Varsity Most Improved sophomore year… Won the individual league title in the 1600m and 800m in track.Â
PERSONAL: Parents are Yuexiao and Pengxiang… Both parents attended Sacramento State… Has three siblings, Damon, David, and Ada… David graduated from UC Davis in 2017… Career sports highlight was helping his high school cross country team raise a section championship banner for the first time in more than 50 years… Most people don’t know he’s only been to three states in the US.
