Threw shot put and discus for two years at El Camino HS… Was the regional shot put champion in the Capitol Athletic League sophomore year… At American River, threw the discus and the hammer for two years, and added shot put in her second year… Set the American River College discus record with distance of 142-03.00, winning third place at the State Championship and Norcal discus champion her first year… Broke her own discus record with 143-05.00 throw… Took second at State Discus Championship and first in Norcal Discus Finals her second year…

Born in Sacramento, Calif… Parents are Pamela and Oscar Sheppard… Has two siblings, older sister, Simone, and younger brother, Quinn… Majoring in Communication, and plans to go into social work… Her career sports highlight is at the CCCAA State Meet, where her last discus throw bumped her from fourth to second place… Favorite movie is Princess Mononoke… Sports hero is Michelle Carter, and non-sports hero is her father… Most people don’t know that she benched 200 pounds when she was 14 years old… Chose UC Davis Athletics because of the welcoming team, academic prestige of the school, and proximity to home.
