BIRMINGHAM COMMUNITY CHARTER HS `11: Placed 13th overall individually at CIF-LA City Section Championship meet, helping team to a first-place finish... Selected to All-City second team... Also ran track and field, finishing third in the 3,200-meter event at the CIF-LA City Championships... Advanced to CIF state meet and placed 30th overall in the 3,200-meter run.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Luz Cantu-Arellanos... Has one younger brother, Jose David... Lists competing at the state meet as her greatest personal achievement, while her 13th-place finish at the CIF-LA City Cross Country Championship meet is her career highlight... Has not declared a major.
