2018-19: NCEA FARNAM ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM HONORABLE MENTION… UNITED EQUESTRIAN CONFERENCE ALL-ACADEMIC HONORABLE MENTION… Competed in five regular season meets for the Aggies… Secured her first career Horsemanship win in her collegiate debut against No. 9 Delaware State (Jan. 31), downing the Hornets, 70.5-66.5—one of two wins in the event for UC Davis on the season… Also competed on the road at No. 8 TCU, No. 4 SMU, and No. 9 Fresno State… Capped off the season with a 1-4 overall mark.

PERSONAL: Born in Pasadena, Calif… Parents are Nick and Sue Macalello… Her older brother, Colby, is an anesthesiologist… Her uncle, Steven Macalello, graduated from UC Davis in 2006…  Also competed for two seasons on her high school volleyball team as an outside hitter (2011, 2012)… Competed on the Saddleback Valley Volleyball club team based out of Lake Forest… Began attending UC Davis in 2015… Career plans include becoming a veterinarian and specializing in equine sports medicine… Realized her dream of becoming a vet when she started volunteering at a barn as a middle schooler... Lists playing volleyball, traveling, and playing with her dog as her favorite hobbies.
