Biography
2013-14: Set collegiate-best times in the 100 free (53.37) and 500 free (5:06.94) at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships, and the 200 IM (2:21.37) in a dual against Fresno State... Other season-best times include: 200 free (2:00.23) against Loyola Marymount and the 100 back (1:00.15) and 200 back (2:09.31) at the MPSF Championships... Also swam the anchor leg of one of the Aggies[apos] 400 medley relay squads, touching in a season-best time of 3:44.87 in a double dual at San Diego and against Oregon State on Nov. 2.
2012-13: Best times of the season include: 100 free (56.73) and 500 free (5:25.11) at Pacific Invite; 200 free (1:59.45) vs. CSUB; 100 back (1:00.50) at UCLA-WSU; 200 back (2:11.62) at SJSU.
2011-12: Redshirted the season.
2010-11: Competed during fall season only... Posted 200 back time of 2:06.38 against Fresno State, 9th in school history... Went 1:56.37 in 200 free, 5:16.43 in 500 free, 59.02 in 100 back at Arena Invite.
NORTHGATE HS [apos]10: Achieved All-American status all four years during prep career, including three individual honors for the 100 backstroke... Earned All-American honors as part of 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay... Competed for the Walnut Creek Aquabears swim club, setting the club record in the 17 & 18 Girls 200 meter backstroke in 2009 (2:22.47).
PERSONAL: Born in Torrance, Calif.... Parents are Walter and Mabel Liang and has one sister, Evelyn... Majoring in human development with plans to pursue a career in child or criminal psychology.
