2017: 2017 BIG WEST CONFERENCE MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY ATHLETE OF THE YEAR…. BIG WEST CONFERENCE CHAMPION… NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER…BIG WEST MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (Sept. 19)… Was the first Aggie to cross the line in every meet he raced in during the 2017 season… Started off his UC Davis debut season with a fifth-place finish at the UC Riverside Invite with a 24.09.0 8K time… At the Big West Conference Championships, his second appearance of the season, he took the individual 8K title with a 24:13.7 time, which was eight seconds faster than the runner-up… Has become the second UC Davis cross country runner, since Jonathan Peterson (2010), to win both the Athlete of the Year honor and the Big West Conference 8K title, as well as qualify to the NCAA Championships… As a result of his 16th-place finish at the NCAA West Regionals, the graduate student was able to advance to the NCAA Finals, finishing in 72nd overall with a 10K time of 30:27.46. 

SKYLINE HS’13/VIRGINIA: Did indoor and outdoor track and field all four years… Was a first place champion at both the 2012 Penn Relays High School 3000m meet and VA State 2A 3200m State meet… Ran the 1600m and 3200m consistently.. Set 1600m PR (4:15.60), placing first at the 2012 John Handley Invitational, and his 3200m PR (9:14.85), placing second at the 2011 VHLS Group AA State Championships… Named ACC Freshman of the Year after being the top true freshman finisher at the 2013 cross country ACC Championships… Competed three seasons of cross country at the University of Virginia.. Ran the 8000m and the 10000m, setting his PR in the 8000m (23:59.0) at the 2014 University of Washington Invitational and in the 10000 (30:05.8) at the 2013 NCAA DI Southeast Region XC Championships… Ran the 5000m in track both freshman and senior year… Got his PR at the North Carolina State Raleigh Relays (14:05.05), placing 11th with that time.

PERSONAL: Born in Front Royal, Va… Majoring in Biomedical Engineering… Parents are Susan and Rodney… Has a younger brother Christian.
