2017: Redshirted... Earned NACGC/W All-Academic.

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Graduated from Acalanes High in 2016... Competed for Golden Bear Gymnastics Academy from 2010 to 2016, including final year at Level 10... Won vault and placed second on bars at Region 1 Level 9 meet before moving up to Level 10... Finished 2nd on beam and 4th in all-around at 2016 NorCal meet, earning berth at Region I championships.

PERSONAL: Born in La Jolla, Calif.... Has not yet declared a major, but hopes to become an athletic trainer... Parents are Stephanie & Antonio Samaniego... Middle sibling, along with Morgan (22) and Jacqueline (16)... Uncle, Matt Bouza, played wide receiver for the 49ers and Colts in the 1980s... Event in history she wishes she could have seen: Kerri Strug's vault at the 1996 Olympics.
