2008: ALL-BIG WEST CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM... Started 54 of 56 games played, mostly at corner OF positions... Among team leaders with .358 batting average (77-for-215), 16 doubles, 3 home runs, 52 RBIs (2nd on team), a.493 slugging percentage and a .208 on base percentage... Had 13 multi-RBI games, including three with 4 RBIs... RBI total ranks 8th on school[apos]s single-season list... Became first-ever Aggie baseball player to earn Big West Player of the Week honors (3/17) behind team-leading totals of 12 hits, 10 runs scored, 5 doubles, 2 home runs, 13 RBI, 23 total bases, a .571 batting average and a 1.095 slugging percentage in five games... Put together 24 multiple-hit games, including 8 three-hit performances... Had eight-game hitting streak from 3/15-3/29... Hit .467 (14-for-30) with 10 runs and 12 RBIs during that stretch... Batted .414 (48-for-116) with runners on base and .379 (33-for-87) with runners in scoring position... Went 4-for-5 with 2 doubles, 4 runs, grand slam and 6 RBIs at Nevada (3/12)... Drove in the game-winning run in the 10th inning at Saint Mary[apos]s (3/25).
COLLEGE OF SAN MATEO: Captured first-team All-Coast Conference honors in 2007... Batted .359 with 18 doubles, 3 triples, 5 homers and just 11 strikeouts in 140 at-bats... Hit .339 with 7 doubles as a freshman in 2006... Team won conference title both seasons... Made Dean[apos]s List both years.
CARLMONT HS [apos]05: Earned first-team All-Peninsual Athletic League and all-county accolades as a senior outfielder... Batted .427, finishing as runner-up for PAL Player of the Year... Garnered All-PAL honorable mention as a sophomore and junior, batting .340 and .365 in those respective years.
PERSONAL: Born in Redwood City, Calif.... Majoring in economics... Parents are Tony & Lisa Scoma... Tony played baseball at USF... Says few people know he works with an Alzheimer[apos]s patient... Career highlight was batting 3-for-3 with 7 RBIs - in a single inning.
