2007: Placed 2nd in 200 (56.60), 6th in 200 (25.25) at Div. I Independent Championships... Time in 200 was a season-best mark... Had team[apos]s fastest 400 of the year, crossing in 56.03 to win Fresno State Dual... That mark ranks 5th in school outdoor history... Member of Aggies[apos] 4x400 relay that finished 2nd at independent meet.
2006: Lone outdoor appearance was 3rd-place finish (58.12) at All-Cal Challenge Cup during opening weekend... Had team[apos]s two best indoor 400s, including season-best 58.37 at Husky Classic. 2005: Finished 4th in 400 at Div. I Independent Championships, posting 56.63 in prelims... Also placed 5th in 200, crossing in season-best 25.38 in prelim... Season-best quarter was 56.37 at Cal-Nevada State Championships, 8th in school history.
ARCHBISHOP MITTY HS [apos]04: Won 400 (55.62) at Central Coast Section championships as a senior, advancing her to state meet... Also placed 2nd in 200 at 24.97... Finished 3rd and 5th at the CCS meet in those respective events as a junior... Also played basketball (shooting guard), helping team capture CCS and NorCal titles in 2003... Won California State Sportsmanship award.
PERSONAL: Born in San Jose, Calif... Majoring in neurobiology, physiology & behavior (NPB)... Parents are Divell and Vernett Baker... Divell played football at Cal Poly... Plans to become a physician... Would title her autobiography, 'What A Misconception'.
