2010: Appeared in 20 games, with seven starts in his first year as an Aggie... Hit .267 (8-for-30) with one double and 3 RBIs... Recorded two stolen bases in four attempts... Made UC Davis debut in second game of doubleheader against BYU Feb. 25, pinch hitting against the Cougars... Hit 3-for-4 against Pacific with an RBI (May 8)... Additional RBIs came at Cal State Northridge (May 2) and against Santa Clara (May 19).
HARTNELL COLLEGE: Earned All-Coast Conference first-team honors as a sophomore, batting .384 with 10 doubles and 6 triples... Named team MVP... Pounded out .359 average with 9 doubles as a freshman in 2008... Moved from third to second between freshman and sophomore seasons... Made Dean[apos]s List both years, graduating summa cum laude (3.8+ GPA).
SAN BENITO HS [apos]07: Garnered two All-Tri-County Athletic League honors, including a first-team nod in 2007... Batted .380 overall, .500 in TCAL games as a senior... Made All-Central Coast Section second team that year... Helped team to back-to-back league titles, plus CCS 2nd-place finish in 2007... Won team[apos]s Highest GPA award twice, ranking 12th in graduating class of 575 students... Winner of P.J. Galvan Memorial Scholarship... Runner-up in race for Scholar-Athlete of the Year, behind his twin brother (see below)... Played summer ball for Clovis Outlaws.
PERSONAL: Born in Hollister, Calif.... Majoring in mechanical engineering... Parents are Joseph & Mary Andrade... Older brother, Ryan, graduated from UC Davis in 2009... Twin brother, Jason, was an aquatics star at SBHS and is currently a standout diver for the Aggies... Career plans are to create alternative fuels.
