Biography

2025: Competed in five meets for the Aggies...Had two fifth place finishes in the 1,500 meter run on the season, one at the Aggie Open (4:51.69) and one at the Causeway Classic (4:49.35)...Set two personal records at the Mike Fanelli, running a 2:23.30 in the 800 meter event and a 4:49.20 in the 1,500 meter run. 

2024: Competed in two meets...Set a new personal record at the Hornet Invite in the 3000 meter event, clocking in at 10:41.34 to secure 32nd place...Had another personal best on the year at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, her 1500 time being shaved to a 5:00.98

Granada Hills Charter High School '23: Jocelyn participated in both cross country and track & field during high school. Her main events in track and field were the 1600m and the 3200m race. In her sophomore season she took 6th place in the 1600m race and 4th place in the 3200m race at the CIF LA City Finals. In her junior season she took 3rd and 2nd at the West Valley League Finals for 1600m and 3200m respectively. She also took 4th and 5th at the CIF LA City Section Finals for the 1600m and 3200m respectively that year as well. In her senior season, she qualified to go to the state meet for the 1600m, 3200m, and 4x800m races. Her senior season is marked by several first place finishes in the West Valley League Finals (1600m and 3200m) and the 2023 CIF-LA City Section Championship (3200m). 

Her cross country career is marked by placing 2nd in the West Valley League Finals and the LA City Finals in her junior year, 1st at the West Valley Leage Championship her senior year, and 12th at the 2022 Asics Clovis Invitational. She was the team captain and MVP in her senior year. She helped lead the team to continue on a 5 year streak of reigning LA cross country city champions. In her senior season, the team went on to record the highest team finish at the Cross Country State Championship in school history. 

Jocelyn was the valedictorian of her graduating class and participated in the Humanitas program for 4 years. 

Personal: Jocelyn has 3 siblings; an older brother named Damien, a younger sister named Samantha, and a younger brother named Edgar. 

When asked why UC Davis. Jocelyn responded "The coaching staff was extremely welcoming and inspiring felt like a perfect fit upon arrival."
