2024-25: Finished 19th at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational (Individual) (+5, 39 players)… Competed at the Ram Masters Invitational, posting +18 to place 87th (92 players)… Carded +6 at the Lamkin Invitational, finishing 65th in a 96-player field.

2023-24: Top finish came with a top-25 slotting at the Prestige Individual, placing 21st after a +1 performance… At the El Macero Classic, placed 66th out of 104, with a score of +16… In the Cowboy Classic, finished 64th out of 120, scoring +2… At The Goodwin, took 140th place out of 168, ending with a score of +15… At the Marquette Intercollegiate, finished 76th out of 78, scoring +32.

2022-2023: Competed in all nine tournaments for the Aggies… Chiu finished in the top-30 in two events… He placed 30^th at the USF Intercollegiate after carding rounds of 7-over 78, even 71 and 2-under 69… His 2-under 69 final round at the USF Intercollegiate was his best round on the season… He tied for 32^nd at the Goodwin where he fired for a 2-over 72 opening round and back-to-back even stroke plays to finish 2-over 212… He ended the season with an average score of 75.59.

2021-2022: Did not compete in any tournaments

OAK PARK HS ’21
Team captain as a senior, posting a 73.9 scoring average and helping the Eagles to a Coastal Canyon League runner-up finish… Also served as team captain as a junior before his season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic… First-team all-league selection as a sophomore, posting a scoring average of 74.7 and finishing second at the Coastal Canyon League championships… Also shot a 69 to help lead the Eagles to a CIF Southern Section title… Posted a 79.3 scoring average as a freshman, earning him second-team all-league honors… Outside of his prep career, Chiu posted a trio of top-10 finishes on the PGA Southern California Junior Tour in 2020, finishing sixth at the Toyota Tour Cup at Indian Wells in September with a low round of 67, tied for eighth at the Toyota Tour Cup at Redhawk in October, and tied for ninth at the Toyota Tour Cup event at Arroyo Trabuco… Ranked among the top 200 junior players nationwide, as well as No. 12 for the 2021 class in the state of California, when he signed with the Aggies in November of 2020… Also added a pair of top-10 finishes in American Junior Golf Association events, placing in a tie for 10th at the AJGA Longbow Golf Club Open and tie for seventh at the AJGA Junior at Peach tree… In 2019, he won the Toyota Tour Cup event at La Quinta with a 36-hole score of 140, highlighting a year that saw him finish among the top 15 seven times.

Parents are Ian Chiu and Janet Tseng… Father played tennis at Wichita State… Has a sister, Derica… Lists his favorite course as The Preserve Golf Course… Career sports highlight was making match play at the California State Amateur Tournament… Chose UC Davis because, “The community of Davis is really tight knit and I really enjoyed that feeling. The team is very close with one another and can joke around with each other. The coaches are amazing and the facilities are top notch.”
