- 2026 MPSF All-Academic Team
2026: Competed in 4 major events for the Aggies... Placed inside the top 20 three times... Had a personal best placing 13th in the shot put.
2024: Threw for the Aggies in four meets...Recorded a personal record in the hammer throw at the Causeway Classic, securing ninth with her impressive throw, traveling 37.95 meters (124' 6")...Also took sixth in the discus at the Causeway Classic, with 37.95 meters of air travel (116' 9")...Secured her third top-ten finish on the year with seventh in the shot put event with an 11.13 meter throw.
2023: Participated in seven meets…had personal bests in shot put (11.66m/38’ 3.25” – Chico State Invitational), hammer throw (37.36m/122’ 7” – Chico State Invitational) and discus throw (40.74m/133’8 – Brutus Hamilton Invitational)…Had nine top ten finishes
BUCHANAN HS 22': In high school, Chinyere competed in throwing events for all 4 years and helped lead the team to two central section championships.
PERSONAL: Chinyere is the daughter of Adenike and Okechukwu Egbuziem. She has 3 siblings: 2 brothers named Marshan and Okechukwu, and one sister named Nneka. Her brother, Okechukwu played football at South Dakota.
Her sports hero is Kobe Bryant and her non-sports hero is her mom. Chinyere hopes to go to law school after completing her undergraduate degree and eventually work in corporate law. She loves to cook and bake.
When asked why Davis, she responded "I chose UC Davis because of the school culture, great athletics program, and liberating atmosphere."
