• 2021 Big West Conference All-Academic Team

2023: Appeared in 19 games with three starts in midfield...Scored an important goal in UC Davis' 2-1 win over UC San Diego on Oct. 21...Logged 514 minutes...Fired seven shots with two on target.

2022: Made 11 appearances with seven starts during his sophomore season...Finished third on the team with two assists...Provided the assist for the game-winning goal against Sacramento State on Oct. 29...Fired five shots with one on target.

2021: Appeared in 15 games and made one start...Made his collegiate debut at Seattle U, playing 10 minutes (8/28)...Made his first career start at San Diego, playing 53 minutes of a 3-0 win (9/12)...In all, Welch contributed to five clean sheets. 

2020: Season canceled by the Big West Conference due to COVID-19, student-athletes will not lose a year of eligibility and maintain their athletic standing for the 2021-22 academic year.

MONTGOMERY HS ’20: Led his soccer team to three North Coast Section and North Bay Oak League championships in as many years with the program… After reaching the CIF Division I finals and quarterfinals in his sophomore and junior seasons, Montgomery HS won the Division I title in his senior season… MHS posted a combined 70-4-4 record with Welch on the team’s roster… Senior year honor roll includes all-region, All-NBL First Team, Top Drawer Soccer Winter State Star, Prep2Prep North Coast Section Senior of the Year and Player of the Year runner-up… Earned first team all-league, all-state, TDS All-Region and Prep2Prep NCS First Team accolades as a junior… Graduated No. 11 in his class… Four-year honor roll selection… CIF Student-Athlete selection… Named Senior Class Vice President.

PERSONAL: Competed for Santa Rosa United for a decade… U14 Development Academy participant… U16 State Cup finalist… Enjoys playing the guitar… Not many people know he can ride a unicycle… Skiing and wake surfing are his hobbies.
