DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis senior forward
Molly Main and sophomore goalkeeper
Addy Collingwood were named MPSF Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Main receives the honor after delivering a defining weekend performance for the Aggies, capped off by her first career goal to secure a historic 1-0 upset victory over #12 Louisville. The game-winning tally seals the program's highest RPI victory to date, its first-ever win over an ACC opponent, and just the second victory over a ranked opponent in program history—the first since 2013. Main also provided the assist on the Aggies' lone goal against Stanford on Tuesday, Sep. 22, concluding the week with three total points. This marks Main's first career MPSF Offensive Player of the Week honor.
Collingwood receives the honor after a dominant week in the cage for UC Davis, logging a combined 14 saves across two matches and posting a .778 save percentage. The sophomore goalkeeper recorded a career-high 13 saves against Stanford—surpassing 100 career saves—before capping off the week with a shutout performance in the win over #12 Louisville. This marks Collingwood's third MPSF Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season and fourth of her career.
Collingwood continues to anchor the backline for UC Davis, while Main's offensive spark powers the Aggies following one of the biggest wins in program history.
