DAVIS, Calif. — The UC Davis men's and women's tennis programs welcomed more than 125 community members, alumni and friends to the Marya Welch Tennis Center on Sunday for the 18th annual Tennis Pro-Am.
 
Supported by more than 40 sponsors, the annual event brought the Aggie tennis community together for a morning of competition, connection and support for UC Davis student-athletes. This year's Pro-Am raised more than $50,000, providing valuable resources for both programs on and off the court as they prepare for the upcoming season.
 
"We are incredibly grateful to everyone who participated in this year's Pro-Am and to the sponsors whose generosity made the event possible," said Lorie Lindsay, Director of Development, Parent & Alumni Giving. "Their continued support directly enhances the student-athlete experience and provides both of our tennis programs with important resources to compete, develop and succeed on and off the court."
 
The morning began with player introductions, giving attendees an opportunity to meet the student-athletes representing the Aggies this season. Participants then took the courts for a tennis clinic, doubles competition and interactive question-and-answer sessions with members of both teams.
 
The event concluded with prizes presented to the top finishers. Hyunok Lee and Janice Salomon tied for first place in the women's competition, while Brad Stevens claimed the top spot on the men's side.
 
Those who were unable to attend the Pro-Am can still support UC Davis tennis during the Champion Aggies Challenge, set for Oct. 5–9.
