STANFORD, Calif. — UC Davis beach volleyball took home a pair of wins in its first match of the day, but the team would fall to Saint Mary's and No. 1 Stanford on Wednesday, Apr. 1.

THE RALLY
- After seeing their team fall behind 3-0 to begin the day against the Gaels, Emma Johnson and Alexandra Leal powered to a two set win in the third court for the first Aggie point of the day.
- Going to three sets in court number one, Kimi Waller and Ella Erteltova battled in the rain all the way to the end, coming out on top 16-14 to end the first match on a high note.
- In the fifth flight against Stanford in game two, Ava Berard and Kirra Martin won their first set. However, the Cardinal got the win with a 5-0 sweep.
