SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — UC Davis beach volleyball started the Mustang Roundup strong on Friday, Mar. 13 with a 4-1 win over Big West rival CSUN.

THE RALLY
- The win against CSUN gives the Aggies a 2-0 start to conference play.
- It's also the first win against the Matadors for Aggie head coach Ari Homayun, who was previously the head coach of CSUN.
- The duo of Skye Smolinski and Kate O'Steen went 2-0 on the day with wins in the fourth flight.
- Playing in her first match of the season, Shelby Santos paired with Kinley Lindhardt for straight set victories against CSUN.
- In the third and fifth flights against the Matadors, the Aggie duos needed three sets, but took victories for a 4-1 win.
