HOW IT HAPPENED
- After Hawai'i opened the game with a layup, Epps began her night with a layup to match the home team.
- She continued to go blow-for-blow with the Rainbow Wahine, scoring the first nine of the game to tie things at nine apiece eight minutes into the contest, with the Aggies ultimately ending the quarter down 9-11.
- Bennett responded to a 5-0 run with a pair of baskets to open the second period, helping her team get as close as three.
- A pair of triples from the Rainbow Wahine put them 13 late in the half. Coming off the bench, Emmy Ersdala splashed her first points from downtown before Sussex got on the board with her first two.
- But a last second layup put Hawai'i up 30-20 heading into the locker room.
- Coming out of halftime, UC Davis began to gain momentum, opening the third quarter with a 7-2 run.
- Threes from Bennett and Norris put the road team as close as four with three minutes remaining in the period, but a 5-0 response gave the Rainbow Wahine a 42-33 advantage heading into the fourth.
- Hawai'i continued that momentum into the final quarter of play with an 11-2 run.
- The Aggies looked to respond with buckets from Tegan Young and Victoria Baker, but a 25 point quarter from their opponent proved to be the difference as Hawai'i would win 67-46.
