HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Aggies jumped out to an early 5-0 lead behind a jumper and a three-pointer from Carl Daughtery Jr. in the opening minutes.
  • However, the Tritons responded with a run to tie the game at 9-9 before taking control midway through the period. A 9-0 surge by the hosts pushed their advantage to 16-9, and they maintained that momentum to close the half, taking a 33-20 lead into the break.
  • In the second half, the Aggies tried to chip away at the deficit, using opportunistic defense to generate chances. A fast-break three-pointer by Connor Sevilla cut the gap to 44-33, but the Aggies could get no closer.
  • The Tritons answered every UC Davis run down the stretch, and the Tritons would outscore the Aggies 35-31 in the final period to secure the 68-51 victory.
