DAVIS, Calif. — Four players scored in double-digits as UC Davis women's basketball took home a victory over Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday, Jan. 31.

OPENING TIP
- With today's win, the Aggies secured an 11th straight winning season for the program, extending a record that began during the 2015-16 season.
- Megan Norris was the on court leader once again, scoring 11 points while tying a career high 18 rebounds.
- Her rebounding puts her in second place on the Aggies all-time rebounding list, passing Cal Aggie Hall of Famer Cierra Hall with her 908th career board.
- She also secured her 15th double-double of the season, putting her in a tie for the top spot in the NCAA in that category.
- Ryann Bennett and Avery Sussex tied for the team lead in points with 14.
- Nya Epps rounded out the double-digit scorers with 13 points.
- The Aggies were effective shooting the ball all day, going 28-for-55 (.509) from the field. It's just the fifth time this season the team has shot over 50% from the field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bennett got the fun going off a steal and score a minute into the contest.
- Marli Langley of Bakersfield looked to match each Aggie basket, scoring 13 of her team's first 15, but Davis responded with threes from Bennett and Victoria Baker throughout the first period.
- Emmy Ersdala and Baker capped off the quarter to give their team a 21-15 lead.
- The threes continued to fall into the second quarter, with the first two Aggie makes being triples from Baker and Norris.
- Sussex and Tegan Young got their first buckets of the day as the home team continued to lead 33-22 halfway through the period, leading to a 39-27 advantage at half.
- Entering the second half of play, both defenses tightened up with the only Aggie scores in the first five minutes being back-to-back layups from Epps.
- The offense came back to life from beyond the arc with threes from Bennett, Ersdala, and Sussex leading the way to a 56-46 advantage for the home team after three.
- Back-to-back threes from Epps and Ersdala opened things up in the fourth quarter to push the Aggie lead to 16.
- The Roadrunners tried to respond with more offense from Langley, but another trey from Sussex put the Aggies at 11 on the afternoon, leading the way for a 76-68 victory.
UP NEXT: After a week at home, the Aggies are back on the road next weekend for another pair of Big West rematches. The action begins on Thursday, Feb. 5 when UC Davis heads south to take on UC Santa Barbara at 6:00 p.m. PT. The contest will be streaming live on ESPN+ and KDVS 90.3.
