HOW IT HAPPENED

• UC Davis opened the match in doubles, with the No. 3 pair of Aileena Hu and Kaia Wolfe finishing first, falling 6–1 to Emma Sun and Tianmei Wang.

• On court one, Mika Ikemori and Polina Marakhtanova battled but came up short in a 6–4 loss to Ahn and Caroline Driscoll, clinching the doubles point for Stanford.

• The No. 2 doubles match featuring Isabella Bringas and Maya Youssef was tied at 3–3 when play was stopped.

• In singles, Stanford extended its lead as No. 77 Caroline Driscoll defeated Ikemori in straight sets on court two, followed by a win from Tianmei Wang over Youssef on court three.

• On court one, Marakhtanova pushed No. 67 Monika Ekstrand in a competitive match but fell in two close sets.
