The short story:Â Alana Kim's career-high 9.825 on vault set the pace for UC Davis gymnastics in a season opening tri-meet at Arizona State that saw the Aggies finish third with a final score of 193.250.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kim finished tied for fourth on vault, and just finished outside the top 10 on floor after tying for 11th with a mark of 9.700
- Amelia Moneymaker finished tied for second on the all-around, totaling 39.100 adding to the versatile Aggie's school record with her 17th all-around score of at least 39.000
- Moneymaker's best finish came on floor when she posted a fourth-place score of 9.825
- On vault, Avah Reichow scored a career-best 9.800, finishing tied for sixth overallÂ
