THE SHORT STORY: UC Davis dropped a hard-fought 1-0 result to Saint Mary's on Thursday night at Aggie Soccer Field. The Gaels broke through in the 60th minute, and while the Aggies pressed late and appeared to score the equalizer in dramatic fashion, the referees waved it off after ruling the shot came after the final horn, allowing Saint Mary's to escape with the win.

- Saint Mary's finally capitalized in the 60th minute when Salvetti scored off a feed from Lendman
- In goal for the Aggies, Ross picked up three second-half saves, including a stop in the 74th minute on Brooklyn Smith to keep the game at 1-0
- UC Davis surged forward in the closing minutes, generating late chances from Canavan, Bushman, and Fontes, before a last-second equalizer was disallowed after the officials ruled it came after the final whistle
