DAVIS, Calif. – The UC Davis field hockey team begins its fourth season under head coach Austin Pile on the road on Aug. 29 as the Aggies head to Ohio to take on Miami (OH), highlighting the program's 2025 schedule announced Wednesday.
Before the season opener, UC Davis will play a preseason scrimmage on Aug. 19 against Stanford at the Aggie Field Hockey Facility.
The season opener kicks off a slate featuring four home matches. The Aggies will face a challenging schedule that includes two 2024 NCAA Tournament participants: Miami (OH) (Aug. 29, away) and Michigan (Sep. 12, at home).
After opening the regular season away against Miami (OH), the Aggies stay on the road and travel to Bellarmine on Aug. 31, followed by a home match against Ball State on Sep. 5.
Home matches continue against Ohio (Sept. 11) and Michigan (Sept. 12), with the remainder of the season being away games before they come back to Davis to take on Cal (Oct. 24) for the second time. The Aggies will end their season against Stanford on Oct. 26 (away).
Since UC Davis Field Hockey is now an independent team, they will work hard to earn an at-large bid into the NCAA Championship that will be held in Durham, N.C., from Nov. 21-23.
