Carter Delaney and
Tyler Wood were named to the CSC Academic All-District Baseball Team on Tuesday, recognizing their success both on the field and in the classroom. The award was announced by the College Sports Communicators.
To qualify, candidates must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically while maintaining a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale). Graduate student-athletes must also hold a 3.50 GPA as both an undergrad and graduate student, unless they are in their first semester of grad school without an established graduate GPA.
On the field, honorees must be consistent contributors—playing in 90% of their team's games or starting 66% of games. Pitchers must make at least 17 appearances or log 35 innings.
Delaney emerged as a reliable closer for the Aggies, recording a team-high five saves and a 2.83 ERA in 18 relief appearances. He struck out 27 batters in 35 innings, held opponents to a .236 batting average, and posted a 1.40 WHIP. Academically, Delaney is pursuing a Master of Management degree in UC Davis' prestigious program after earning his B.A. in History as an undergraduate.
Wood went 4-3 with a 5.94 ERA in 15 appearances (five starts), striking out 49 batters in 53 innings. Academically, the human development major is in his second season with the Aggies.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
