DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis men's golf earned two Big West end of season honors as freshmen Zack Tarter and Lequan Wang both received Honorable Mention recognitions, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.

This marks the second consecutive year the Aggies have placed multiple golfers on the Honorable Mention list, following Lucas Carper and Mark Stephens' selections last season.

Tarter's standout debut season featured a T-3rd finish at the Big West Championship, where his 8-under 208 earned him All-Tournament Team honors. The freshman competed in all 11 events (33 rounds), posting a 73.1 scoring average, which ranked T-17th in the Big West, supported by four top-30 finishes including T-15th (-1) at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational and T-17th (+1) at the Bridgestone Collegiate.

Wang matched Tarter's consistency with a 73.0 scoring average (T-15th in conference) across nine tournaments. The first-year Aggie delivered his best performance at The Prestige, finishing 19th at 3-under 210 with a season-best +0.83 strokes gained. His 7-under total at the Amer Ari Invitational stood as his lowest tournament score, complementing two top-25 finishes that included 22nd place at the Bridgestone Collegiate.

Together, the duo helped UC Davis secure two top-3 team finishes (Big West Championship, Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational) among four top-10 performances during the season.
