DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis placed three standout players on the 2025 All-Big West Conference Baseball Team, as announced by the league Tuesday. Left-handed starter
Bryan Green and left-handed reliever
Mason Lerma were named to the Second Team, while utility player
Braydon Wooldridge received Honorable Mention.
Bryan Green
Green, the Sparks, Nevada, native emerged as one of the nation's top pitchers, ranking 25th nationally with a 2.55 ERA—the best mark in the Big West. Green anchored the Aggies' rotation, logging 81.1 innings (5th in the conference) with 69 strikeouts.
His season highlight came on April 7, when he was named Big West Pitcher of the Week after firing 8.0 scoreless innings in a 1-0 series-opening win over UC Santa Barbara. Green scattered five hits, walked three, and struck out six, setting a career-high in innings while helping snap UC Davis' 17-game losing streak to the Gauchos dating back to 2018.
The senior left-hander's Second Team selection built upon on his 2024 Honorable Mention recognition and this season, Green was even recognized at one point as the No. 132 starting pitcher nationally by D1Baseball.
Mason Lerma
One of college baseball's most dominant relievers, Lerma ranked 10th nationally with 28 appearances—leading the Big West—and posted a 1.01 ERA over 35.2 innings. The Santa Rosa native was nearly unhittable in conference play, allowing just one earned run in 21 innings while holding opponents to a .197 average and striking out 22.
Lerma allowed zero earned runs in 26 of his 28 outings, including six appearances of multiple shutout innings. He also contributed to three combined shutouts. Like Green, he earned national recognition from D1Baseball, ranked at one point as the No. 49 reliever in the country. Together, they helped propel UC Davis to the 34th-best team ERA in Division I.
Braydon Wooldridge
Wooldridge delivered at the plate and on the mound, batting .287 with a team-high 54 hits and 11 doubles. His 23 RBIs ranked second on the squad, and he proved to be one of the toughest batters to strike out nationally, ranking 27th in Division I and third in the Big West.
His signature performance came against Utah Valley, where he tied UC Davis' single-game RBI record (8) in a 5-for-6 effort—earning Big West Field Player of the Week. Notably, all eight RBIs in that game came with two outs.
Wooldridge also contributed on the mound, posting a 2.84 ERA in seven appearances and leading the team with a 0.87 WHIP over 12.2 innings. Opponents hit just .133 against him.
Under fourth-year head coach
Tommy Nicholson, the Aggies finished the 2025 campaign at 27-28 overall (13-17 Big West).
