The short story: Five UC Davis players recorded multi-hit games, while a three-run sixth inning propelled the Aggies to a 5-3 win over CSUN Friday at Dobbins Stadium.

FIRST PITCH
- While the offense came through with hits when needed, the pitching trio of Ned Frutchey, Rowen Barnes, and Carter Delaney were great all throughout the night
- Barnes earned the win in relief, tossing 1.2 shutout innings with one hit, one walk, and two strikeouts
- Delaney in what seemed to be his final Aggie appearance of his career, dominated with three hitless, shutout innings, walking one and fanning two
- Tyler Howard (3-for-5, 2B, 2 RBI) led the offense, including a go-ahead two-RBI double in the sixth
- Nick Leehey drove in two runs with a single in the third, scoring Mark Wolbert and Howard
- For CSUN, Andrew Becker (2-for-5, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI) sparked the lineup, while Logan Miller took the loss, allowing three runs over three innings
- UC Davis out-hit CSUN 12-8 and held the Matadors to 3-for-15 (.200) with RISP
- Five Aggies notched multiple hits, with Howard's three hits pacing the offense
- Aggie pitchers induced 16 groundouts and 6 flyouts, striking out four
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trailing 1-0, UC Davis struck in the third inning on Leehey's two-RBI single, scoring Wolbert and Howard for a 2-1 lead
- CSUN rallied with two runs to reclaim a 3-2 advantage, scoring a run in the fourth, and another in the fifth on Becker's triple to left center
- The Aggies answered in the sixth, plating three runs-highlighted by Howard's two-RBI double-to surge ahead 5-3
- Delaney and Barnes silenced CSUN's bats late, giving the Aggies a much-needed win to even the series
