HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buscemi led off the game with a single, but the Aggies could not bring her across the plate for an early lead
- Grimes kept UC Santa Barbara off the board for five frames, but the Gauchos would push the winning run across in the bottom of the sixth to lock in a 1-0 series opening win
