The short story: UC Davis men's tennis secured a 4-1 victory over New Mexico State, completing a successful weekend sweep at the Golden State Invite after earlier wins. 

COURTSIDE 

• New Mexico State took the early lead, grabbing the doubles point. 

• Ryan Torres and Ivan Savkin went undefeated as a doubles pair throughout the weekend.

• Four different Aggies got singles wins in today's match. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Aggies opened up the morning with doubles where Torres and Savkin finished first grabbing a win against their opponents.  

• Both Aggie pairs of Lucas Bollinger and Kaveh Taheri and Sam De Vries and Rithvik Katpelly lost their matches putting the Aggies down by a point. 

• On to singles, where freshman Rithvik Katpelly finished first securing the day's first singles win for the Aggies after two dominating sets. 

• Next to win was freshman Perry DiGiulio who also took down his opponent in two sets, making the score 2-1 Aggies. 

• Junior Bollinger would also come out on top after two sets and a tiebreaker giving the Aggies an extra point. 

• Last to finish in singles was senior Ryan Torres who took down his New Mexico State opponent in three grueling sets, but he ultimately clinched the match for the Aggies. 

• The matches of Kaveh Taheri and Sam De Vries went unfinished since the Aggies had already won the dual match.
