The short story: UC Davis beach volleyball started their day strong with a 3-2 victory over Oregon early in the morning, but in the afternoon, they fell just short to Boise State, losing 2-3 in a tight match.  

THE RALLY

• Seniors Tabitha Mitchel and Kylie Miller went a perfect 2-0 on the day against both Oregon and Boise State. 

• Against Oregon, Mia Olen and Skye Smolinski were the first to finish, grabbing an early win for the Aggies against the Ducks. 

• Ava Beard and Julia Chapman would fall, evening the score after just two matches. 

• Kendal Steller and Kimi Waller would take down their Duck opponents in two sets, giving the Ags the edge. 

• After Mitchel and Miller clinched the game, Lindsay Heller and Alexandra Leal fought and lost a hard three-set match, making the final score 3-2 Aggies. 

• Against Boise State, Aggies Olen and Smolinski would fall early in just two sets. 

• Heller and Leal were next, taking down their Bronco opponents in two sets, evening the score. 

• Two more Aggie duos would fall as Steller, Waller, Ava Beard, and Julia Chapman all lost their games in two sets, giving the Broncos the overall win.
