The short story: On the first day of the Utah Beach Classic, UC Davis beach volleyball faced tough competition, losing to Arizona with a 0-5 sweep and later falling to Utah in a close 2-3 matchup. 

THE RALLY

• The Aggies were swept by Arizona early in the morning on day one of the Utah Classic. 

• Against Utah, Mia Olen and Sky Smolinski were the first to finish, falling to their opponent in two sets. 

• Two more Aggie pairs would fall as Ava Beard and Kirra Martin, and Tabitha Mitchell and Kylie Miller lost their matches to their Utah opponents. 

• First to get a win for the Ags were Lindsay Heller and Alexandra Leal in the fifth flight, taking down their opponent in two dominating sets. 

• Last to finish were Kendal Steller and Kimi Waller, who also dominated both of their sets for an Aggie win, making the final score 2-3.
