The short story: Scoring a season-high 196.400 UC Davis gymnastics put on a show at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships, with Amelia Moneymaker taking home two individual events and the all-around title to pace the Aggies.

The Aggies are now projected to be locked in as the No. 35 seed heading into the NCAA National Championships. The selection show, where the Aggies will learn their seeding, is set to air Monday, March 24 on ESPNU at 9 a.m. PT.

The trip to the NCAA Division I Regionals will be the program's first since 2014 and second all-time.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Moneymaker finished with a 39.500 to win the all-around, it's her second-best score of the season having set the school record with a mark of 39.550 at Sacramento State in the regular season finale
  • On beam and bars, Moneymaker scored a 9.900 to take the MPSF crown in those events
  • Megan Ray was crowned champion on vault, scoring a 9.900 to take home the MPSF title
  • On floor, Keanna Abraham and Moneymaker scored 9.900 while Avah Reichow posted a 9.850 (career-high) to help the Ags score a 49.300 for the second-straight week
  • UC Davis took home the beam title, thanks not only to Moneymaker's 9.900 but Ray and Jehaan Poonja scoring a 9.825, for Poonja it was a career-high
  • The Aggies also tied Southern Utah for first on vault, getting pair of 9.800's from Abraham and Moneymaker to help along Ray's title winning vault
