The short story: UC Davis Beach Volleyball had an impressive day two at the Big West Challenge, battling through a close match to beat out CSUN 3-2, and then delivering a dominant performance to defeat Sacramento State 4-1.  

THE RALLY

• The pair of Alexandra Leal and Kate O'Steen, as well as Skye Smolinski and Mia Olen, went undefeated throughout both games. 

• The first Aggies to fall against the Matadors would be Kendal Steller and Reese Fraser, giving the Matadors some momentum. 

• Next to fall would be Lindsay Heller and Kimi Waller, who took their match to three sets but could not come out with a win for the Aggies. 

• Against CSUN, Tabitha Micthell and Kylie Miller would be the third pair to give the Aggies what they needed to win the game, beating out their opponents in three tough sets.

• Against rivals Sacramento State, Kendal Steller and Waller would take down their Hornet opponents in two quick sets to put the Aggies up 2-0. 

• Kirra Martin and Heller took their match into three sets, ultimately taking down their opponents 15-11 in the third set to win. 

• Mitchell and Miller would fall in their match, giving the Hornets one point on the day.
