WHAT HEAD COACH JENNIFER GROSS HAD TO SAY

"I'm incredibly proud of our team. When you pour so much into something, it really hurts when it doesn't come out the way you want. But I'm really proud of our group and I'm hoping we'll get to play some more basketball still."

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After UC San Diego began the game on an 8-0 run, Norris and Victoria Baker got the offense going with back-to-back three pointers.
  • As the Tritons continued to produce on offense, Harris hit her first shot of the game from beyond the arc to cut the deficit to single-digits at the end of the first.
  • In the second quarter, threes from Sabel and Avery Sussex got the Aggies as close as nine.
  • However, UCSD continued to produce, with the Tritons holding a 34-21 lead at halftime.
  • Throughout the third quarter, both teams continued to exchange baskets, with Norris and Sabel each leading the scoring with four apiece.
  • Going into the fourth, UC San Diego continued to lead 54-39.
  • With three minutes left, Davis looked to get back into the game with a 7-0 scoring run to cut the deficit down to ten.
  • However, free throws from the Tritons put it out of reach, clinching a 75-66 win.
