The short story: UC Davis women's beach volleyball endured a tough morning as they narrowly lost to Saint Mary's with a 2-3 scoreline, but bounced back later in the day, securing a 3-2 victory over San Jose State to close out their day on a high note. 

THE RALLY

• Skye Smolinski and Mia Olen went undefeated throughout the day beating both of their opponents. the pair competed in the fifth spot in the morning and were moved to the fourth spot for the afternoon game. 

• Against Saint Mary's, the Aggies battled hard but the only other pair to get a win were undefeated pair Anna Braun and Kate O'Steen. 

• In the San Jose State game, Tabitha Mitchell and Lindsay Heller won a decisive match against their opponents giving the Aggies a second point. 

• The last pair to get a win against San Jose State, and get the Aggies an overall win, was pair Juliana Chapman and Kaitlyn Smyth in the fifth flight.
