The short story: UC Davis dropped its first game of the season in a five-inning run-rule loss to Boise State, 15-5, in the Aggies' first of two games on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- UC Davis got on the board in the bottom the second, after Boise State took an early 6-0 lead
- Buscemi provided the damage, banging a two-out single to right center that scored Sydney Polli and Rylee Reeves. Polli had pinch run for Grimes and Reeves had led off the inning with a single
- Facing a large deficit, after Boise State built out a 15-2 lead, Panziera made sure to leave a mark before the game ended
- After Naomi Kalanetra reached on a hit by pitch, Panziera took a 1-0 pitch into left center for a two-run home run to put the game at its final score of 15-2.
